FEES & INSURANCE
Therapy is both an emotional and financial investment.
Fees
My fee per 50-minute session is $225.
Out-of-network insurance
I am an out-of-network provider for PPO insurance plans. This means that you are responsible for paying the full fee upfront for each session. At the end of every month, I can provide you with a superbill, which you can then submit to your insurance company for reimbursement. Depending on your plan, you may get a percentage of what you already paid back, which can help offset the out-of-pocket cost of therapy. It is highly recommended you call your insurance plan to find out more about your reimbursement rate and see your current deductible for out-of-network providers.
Sliding scale
In order to reach more people who would benefit from therapy in California, I offer sliding scale. This means I can offer lower fees based on financial need. I believe your mental health is important and hope that by providing affordable sliding scale options, it makes therapy more accessible.
Good faith estimate
You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical and mental health care will cost.
Under the law, health care providers need to give clients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the expected charges for medical services, including psychotherapy services.
Since we will agree upon the fee prior to working together, you will be able to anticipate the total yearly cost of sessions. However, if you’d would like me to provide this estimate for you, please ask and I would be happy to.
If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill. Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate.
